Ruby, Violet, and Daphne Blue

If I could paint 

with loving tears

a masterpiece

to last my years

and show my heart

these colors I’d choose

Ruby

Violet

and Daphne Blue

So the world may know

three brilliant lights

that chase away

the darkest night

and fill my soul

with love so true

I’d place it in 

a frame of gold

that could not shine 

as bright or bold

as my three stars

in sparkling hue

I’d hang it in 

the hall of dreams

with memories

of family scenes

in grand display 

for all to view
