Hard Work

A married couple 

came to the house 

for dinner one night

for wine and pleasant conversation

When we were done

they thought it the perfect time

for me to settle their argument

on which was the better way 

to place silverware 
in the dishwasher 
- up or down -

and that's when it hit me:

this marriage business 
is hard work

and might be 
damn near impossible
